native to iran, almond in the hebrew bible is a symbol of watchfulness and promise due to its early flowering and according to israel legend, the rod of aaron the prophet and moses’s brother bore sweet almonds on one side and bitter on the other, if israelites followed the lord, the sweet almonds would be ripe and edible but if choosing to forsake the path of the lord, the bitter almonds would predominate.

in general, there are two varieties of almond, sweet for consuming as nuts or culinary use as a almond oil and bitter almond to be used in manufacture of flavouring extracts for foods and liquors.

concentrated with antioxidant vitamin e widely known in nourishing and protecting skin from free radical stress and a lot of fatty acids help to retain moisture, sweet almond oil is suitable for use with any essential oil.

keep in a tightly closed and dark glass container and store at temperature below 20 °c. avoid the direct sunlight or exposure to high voltage electrical lighting. after opening, use up as early as possible.

cautions

it is not recommended to use in any case for pregnancy. for sensitive skin, it is not suggested to use in a high dosage as it might cause irritation. before applying any oil onto the skin, always do a patch test. put a few drops on the back of your wrist, covered with a plaster and leave for an hour or more. if irritation or redness occurs, bathe the area with cold water. for future use, reduce the concentration level by half or avoid altogether.
